My Background

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor specializing in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I am passionate about women and families reaching their potential! I thoroughly enjoy working with women and families. My professional and personal experience has allowed me to have an in-depth understanding of my client’s issues. I provide a safe therapeutic environment to explore to issues. I utilize a strength based and empowerment based approach with my clients.  I believe that with the right tools and assistance everyone can overcome their obstacles. “We are all a work in progress.”

I have been trained Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy extensively. Utilizing these psychological models, we examine cognitive distortions and engage in behavioral actions to help change your targeted concerns. In DBT we examine the following areas: core mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. They are created to help individuals get a better handle on managing behaviors, emotions and thoughts.
